Hello
I bought a S9+ with eos on it.
Device is SM-G965F
Android version 12
E os version 2.4.1-s-20241008439849-official-star2lte
Build number e_star2lte-iser 12 SQ3A.220705.004
Eng.root.20241008.170506
I have no internet on my phone. I tried WiFi, I tried network cable via usb-c adapter. Both are working for other devices.
I tried the eos browser and the app store. Both have no connection.
The browser is giving the error
ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
I guess it has nothing to do with the DNS server. But I’m open to try solutions from you.
Thank you in advance for your help!
OK. The soft reset didn’t help directly but indirectly.
After the restart the advanced privacy opened again and talked about the IP. I made before the change from IP standard to IP vanishing. The point is: no change was done when I did it at least not visually.
I even had now the case where both endries had a blue button the same time! So after playing around from standard to vanish at one point I could stop so now it is standard IP without vanishing/changing the IP and now it’s working. Seems to be a bug with this entry section for the IP. That the eos app store is not working with the eos setting to ramdomise the IP is a shame but ok.
Thank you for your fast reply!
Maybe, but I have found that it is necessary to restart the phone after some (multiple) changes to Advanced Privacy perhaps especially while learning. I have noticed that AP acquires quite a large cache after such episodes, so worth clearing it from time to time.
I make perhaps monthly use of the third party app Cache Cleaner.
