Samsung browser on Galaxy tab s2 stalls page loading

Hi all, just installed /e on Galaxy tab s2 (sm-t813). Rather impressed so far. Installed most of my regular apps. Working fine. One peculiar thing. Samsung browser stalls for 3-5 secs. on every page load. Looks like a DNS problem, but fiddling with settings makes no difference. Very annoying. Other browsers are fine. Samsung browser on same tablet on Lineage os is fine. It looks like some relation between /e and the Samsung browser, but it’s not clear to me. For various reasons I’d like to use this browser.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Where do your Samsung app come from ?
You have installed it by yourself ?

Yes I installed it with Aurora store. It’s the latest and official Samsung browser for Android, as far as I can tell.

To be more precise: com.sec.android.app.sbrowser 14.2.3.14.

I like the e.browser for its simplicity and degoogled

I wanted to be sure that you haven’t forgotten to format /data and wipe /system before installing /e/

what about microG settings ?

Hi Piero, flashing, microg settings etc. are just fine. I flash roms more often, it’s no problem. All my apps are running fine, even this browser, except for this page loading delay. I like /e browser very much too, and even better Kiwi browser. Tried all kind of different browsers and these are my favorites. Except from some minor personal preferences, the main reason why I want to use Samsung browser is, that it’s recognized by “Sophos intercept X”. I consider this a very nice security app. It recognizes Chrome and Firefox too, but those I definitely don’t want to use. It’s for the sake of ‘link checker’ and ‘web filtering’ in Sophos that I want to use Samsung browser. Maybe I must find a way to use this functionality outside of Sophos, with a different app, just to be able to use other browsers. I’ll see. One other thing I’ll try (didn’t do yet) is an older version of Samsung browser, just to see if it makes a difference. To be continued.

Older and newer version of Samsung browser don’t make a difference.
