Its a brilliant device, IP68, LED, dual selfie, headphone jack, dual sim.
It came out in trial as a predecessor to the S9, thats why I’d ROM it before buying another phone.

There’s my motivation, is it possible or too unique a device?

The Samsung Galaxy A8 2018 (jackpotlte) SM- A530F / DS,
originally shipped with Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) and upgradable to Android 9.0 (Pie) lets trebelize. Thus, a /e/OS GS V1.3 can be installed for a short time until a /e/OS Custom ROM is eventually built.

Seems the best way to go, since Griffin98 replyed to this “issue”:

We no longer support these(or any) devices. You can use our repos as a starting point to build the ROM and fix it. However, you cannot expect any technical support from us. Happy tweaking!

…seems that hurrhnn (Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) (SM-A530N) Device Tree’s maintainer) isn’t interested too:

we are not planning to \e\ and colab autobuilder support unless there is no PR.
