Hi,

I would like to update my galaxy tab, but there’s no automatic update anymore.

How can I update to 3.2, if it is possible ?

This is desapointing, I have a perfectly functionning device, but only the 3.04 os-update.

This is the source of published builds /e/OS community gts4lv download.

community builds do not get Android version Upgrade automatically. The time comes where onr has to do a manual Upgrade of Android version.

Ofc if you need more support … please quote your build_version_string.

Hi Piero,

It’s been a wile and I haven’t the time to try tu update my tablet.

I tried to install (following your link) e-3.6-a15-2026… but I stumbled on sur recovery version that I can’t install correctly, using Odin. The ancient recovery is still active.

In addition, I do not know witch files to check in the build to say if firmware parts are include or not. Can you point me in the correct direction ?

comparing the structure of the .ZIP against others Samsung devices,
the /e/OS community gts4lvwifi download do not include an expected folder called “firmware”

BUT

Install /e/OS on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e (Wi-Fi) - “gts4lvwifi” page quote "latest Android 11 firmware"as a requirement for years…
and lastest available Samsung firmware seems to be android 11 based https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-T720/XEF/T720XXS3DWA1

so you should already have it !

The ancient recovery is still active.

if it is TWRP, recovery-e or recovery-lineage, you should be able to use it.

It worked, but… Let me guide you through my mistake…

Thank you for your time and for shedding some light on my problem. So, as I don’t need any firmware and the old recovery-e I have (v. 3.0.4) should work, I shouldn’t run into any issues. However:

4. Universal Method, download the file on a computer, boot the phone into the recovery mode and use “apply update” then “from ADB”

Works fine, when you have the right build^^ I trieds to install the one for gts4lv and not the right one for gts4lvwifi…

So, now it’s fine, everything works !

If there is no OTA update, you will most likely need to update it manually. First, download build 3.2 and install it via recovery. This probably means that your device does not support this version yet.
