So I installed /e/OS on this tablet and it works, but…
I use gestures for system navigation and apparently I inadvertently activated desktop mode. After this switching between apps became troublesome.
The usual swipe up from the bottom ended up in a reduced image of the actual app being stuck on the screen and the device not reacting any more, so I had to switch off / switch on in order return to a clean home screen, to be able to open another app.
When I tried to revert to 3 button navigation the app bar at the bottom would get garbled (apps disappearing completely or being shown only partly very small on the left) and no navigation buttons shown.
There is also a break in the background image between main screen and app bar at the bottom, which was not there in the beginning (see image below)
After some research I got it back to kind of normal by clearing cache and user data of bliss launcher.
For now I use the app switching functionality in a very cautious way, trying to avoid desktop mode, also not customizing app arrangement, as I might lose my settings any moment anyway.
VLC player gets stuck playing a video being streamed through wifi/smb from my NAS. But that’s probably due to the small RAM of the device. (This works perfectly well on the FP6).
All the rest works, didn’t try maps though; will use it mostly for media and a bit of web browsing.
