I am running a FP6 e/OS Edition and suddenly the newly bought* SD Card won’t show up anymore. I have re-seated and restarted it multiple times, no luck. I can still access all files via a dongle to my PC but my FP6 won’t detect that a SD Card is present…
I can’t see/access the SD Card on the system storage settings, in camera as well as in the file browser. However, I know it worked because I set everything possible to save on the SD Card (those apps are now complaining of course).
Any Idea on this? This is pretty annoying of course…

Well, false alarm again. It worked like that for a few days, but ultimately it stopped working yesterday. again.
I have now also notified the official Fairphone Support about this issue and they are going through Murena to get me some kind of answer. I will keep you ppl posted.
Let’s hope there is a way to fix this without migrating (again) to another phone…
Okay, no update from the Murena team yet, but I would like to ask for a feature check - because this more and more smells like a software bug:
I did the following testing with the following SD cards:
SD-A: Old, 64GB Samsung Pro SDXC, UHS-I, 90R/50W
SD-B: New, 256GB Integral Gamer’s Edge X, SDEx-I, 890R/750W
On the topic of SD Express vs SDXC:
The new SD Express standard should be fully backward-compatible with UHS-I readers and devices [1, p.4 and p.7].
Now, here are my results regarding the SD Cards:
SD-B (New) worked fine for the first few weeks with my e/OS FP6 but stopped getting recognized after some time. SD-B was factory-delivered with a GPT partition table and exfat.
SD-B is fully functional on a PC in this configuration, all files are still available as before, the FP6 just doesn’t recognize it anymore. Even after checking hardware issues by inserting a physical SIM on the other side of the slot to ensure proper pressure on the pins.
SD-A was tested as confirmation - the SIM card was not needed for reorganization by the FP6. Everything works fine out of the box. I did not try a long-term test though. SD-A was factory-delivered with a msdos partition table and exfat.
I reformatted SD-B to the same standard as SD-A, therefore SD-B now provides a msdos parition table and exfat. SD-B is still not recognized but works on PC as always.
I took a sharpie and blocked out the extra pins of the SD-B to rule out a hardware issue on this end. Same results, data transfer, recognization etc. works fine on PC, but the FP6 does not recognize it.
I cross-checked the sharpie- and the reformatting-methods. No changes to the results.
Therefore, I would think this needs to be a software issue. SD-B had worked completely fine first, there was not one problem until it stopped being recognized by the OS. Neither the pins, contacts nor the pressure on the SD card seem responsible for this issue.
