these are all rather old models. right now the “xiaomi mi 9” is much better under good lighting conditions, but the main sensor in the rather cheap “mi a3” is in fact just identical(!), it only doesn’t come with dual focal length support, which will make a huge difference in case of tele-photo motives.
Thanks, that’s good to know. The mi9 does not look to be supported though, only the mi 8. It’d good to see some /e/ OnePlus 7 pro photos too.
A real professional takes pictures with a reflex or system camera.
Smartphone manufacturers are suggesting to amateur photographers that with the current smartphones and their cameras they will automatically become photo professionals. Yes, many smartphone cameras take good pictures and are good for home use and other nonsense that is taken every day.
Those who can take pictures know the limits of smartphone pictures and will take a good full format camera in their hands for really important pictures.

it’s already supported LOS17 – it will just take [usually very loooooooong] time before its supported by /e/ too… 
you should also consider the fact, that utilizing this dual-focal-length cameras resp. toggling the camera usually doesn’t work in /e/, but it’s working out of the box in LOS…
In my case, Oneplus 5 its working really well. I’d recommend it.
