Related to the topic Setup Wizard Keeps Stopping (but closed, so I reopen a new one)
I was a proud user of /e/ on my Pixel 7a, but since December it’s impossible to use it anymore.
First, I did an update and my network was so-so, so I decided to go back on a stock rom.
Today, I wanted to try again, on the A15 build. And I encounter the popup issue “Setup Wizard Keeps Stopping”.
The flash was good, the OS is starting (with the “e” bouncing), and then the popup will display.
First try on a A15.
I read on the topic it could work by installing first the A14 rom. OK, let’s flash and try.
Now I’m having another issue, with no “e” bouncing, but with a reboot of the phone going to the recovery and displaying “Can’t load Android system. Your data my be corrupt. If you continue to get this message, you may need to perform a factory data reset and erase all user data stored on this devices.”.
Well, let’s reset all the data. And restart.
Now, “e” is bouncing, but,… well, same popup, same issue : “Setup Wizard keeps stopping”.
Icons in the header indicate network is OK, I can access some quick buttons like flashlight, modes, bluetooth and Internet.
And that’s all.
I don’t know what to provide to help debug this, but it seems the wizard is not working, and I can’t go further.
Any ideas ?
