Should I lock the bootloader after eOS install?

Just installed eOS on OnePlus 7T. Anytime I restart the device I get a warning that the bootloader is unlocked. Can I lock the bootloader now that eOS is installed? It would be better security to lock it, correct?

No, don’t try to lock bootloader. Most custom roms don’t support this for most devices.

The warning splash screen when booting is normal for custom ROMs.
