Show "Apps Bubbles" is not working

Hello forum, I am new here. I have a question about my FairPhone 4 with freshly installed e.
There are only the system apps on it. Unfortunately apps bubbles is not working.
I have enabled the “show apps bubbles” feature. But the eSystem does not show it on the app icons when new calls or messages arrive. Can anyone help me with this?

an app needs to support chat bubbles in the first place. for example they show up for Signal to me, but not for Whatsapp (since it doesn’t support them).
