I don’t know if this belongs best in “features & apps” or “request a feature”, but I had a difficult time selecting a custom location for bliss weather widget and don’t want it to rely on the device location always being on.
I’m in a city (georgetown) which shares its name not only with many throughout the world, but with at least 4 others within the country. I made a post on the forums in the past about not knowing what exact format to input custom locations with. Some people helped, but I noticed that bliss weather widget loads data from openweathermap.org and so went to that site. There, they have latitude and longitude coordinates listed next to region results to make it easier to differentiate between them. The widget doesn’t show this for me, though. The listing order of results for a search on the site seem to be the same as in the widget custom location - so if I select the 5th result on the site, it shows the same data as picking the 5th listing in the widget.
I would like for the custom input option to display in more detail the format that should be used and provide an example (city, 2 digit country code), and what would be great in my case, the grid coordinates latitude & longitude when there are multiple options to chose from in the results, because guessing, asking in posts, searching, and resetting it multiple times was time consuming when it may not need to be.
