SMS emoji garbling

sending emoji works fine, but all received emojis become 〓〓〓. Is it a bug?

Perhaps check out whether your correspondent is using RCS (Rich Communication Services) currently unsupported on /e/OS.

Yes, I refused RCS because it sends data to Google…though I can see emojis on Google Android without using it?

edit: Sorry, my correspondent probably doesn’t use RCS. I’m not good at English… but it doesn’t change that I used to see emojis smoothly before.

I’ve remembered that I used a docomo’s official messaging app(+ Message) and it might have supported RCS. SMS is so important to communicate with my grandma. I’ll wait for further development of /e/OS and rethink whether to use RCS or not…
