I could not find a way to reply to @bubble‘s post about connecting to Apple Music, so I’m creating a new topic with the solution I discovered.
Much like what’s described in the original post, whenever I opened Apple Music, I would see the clocking screen with a disabled button at the bottom. What worked for me was:
- Swipe backward on that clocking screen to reveal the main application display (not logged in)
- Select the three dots menu the top right-hand corner
- Select the “Settings” option
- Select the first option listed to Sign In using your Apple ID account
- Follow the prompts (possibly providing authorization from an Apple device registered to your Apple ID)
I did not have to add any Google account to the microG settings as @Agge suggested. However, I did have to make two attempts at providing my Apple ID credentials.
For completeness, I’m running /e/OS 3.3-a14-202512xxx-official-FP4 on a Fairphone 4 and have Apple Music version 5.1.0 installed.
