Sony Xperia 10 IV install problem (pdx225)

Hi everyone!
I’m trying to install E/OS but am stuck at a preliminary stage… I follow these instructions (for a15 latest build) and it all goes well until the “fastboot flash vendor_boot” command… Here’s the response I get :

Any ideas what is happening? (I run Terminal on Mint BTW)

Did the “official Sony” unlocking go 100% as expected? Maybe this gives some pointers.

As far as I understand it all went well (I have been able to flash the dtbo and vbmeta img) Is there any way to check that?
I tried the ‘fastboot flashing unlock’ command in the link you provided just in case but the command failed (I ran fastboot oem unlock which worked during that phase)

We prefer not to use system installed platform-tools Installing adb and fastboot on a Linux PC. It can produce errors.

Thanks! I did that (hopefully) and here's what I get :

The command fastboot oem device-info does not work on all devices. To see that info one has to sift though the much longer output of

fastboot getvar all

I do not have hands on experience with Sony.

It is not mentioned on the install page but does this phone have OEM Unlock in Developer options? If shown is it enabled OK?

I guess one might first find out if the more recent platform-tools version makes any change to your original issue

Yes then oem unlock shows up in developer options.

I’ll try an install of the tools on another computer with a new cable etc…

But this being my main (and only) phone : it will have to wait a bit. (I’ll use the time to educate myself a bit)

Try

fastboot reboot fastboot

Before you flash the files.

You also need to make sure to have the original OS up to date. Because you are only able to flash vendor_boot after a certain OS version.

I reflashed the newest original OS firmware and it worked afterwards.

Your unlock state is not the issue. You already completed the unlock procedure.
