Are there any spam/scam/smishing blockers that actually work with e/OS? The systemized version of QKSMS quite frankly is less than deplorable! Most the time the blocking doesn’t work without me swiping the app off the screen and then restarting it. Is there any program that can handle both calls and texts. Especially text messages with links in it? Maybe even something that can actually forward entire messages and the source number to spam reporting services (QKSMS only forwards the text of a selected message). This is something that almost drives me back to apple devices because they are rather secure and capable but android sans google is terrible at that. The app I am using currently for spam/scam detection was a suggested one by e/OS “Phone - Call Blocker” and it’s always nagging me to sign into microG and that’s something I simply refuse to do! What about SpamBlocker from the F-Droid Store? It works for me. It uses an online database and multiple layers but needs to be configured profoundly to work well. It saves the calls and SMS but does not spam you. You will receive a notification for every call and SMS handled, so you can trace back what happened and if you would like to call back just in case.
Try KnownCalls from AppLounge, which has a 5/5 rating and 10/10 for privacy.
The official website version also mutes SMS.
