Start any other than /e/OS camera app using Quickly open camera gesture

Hello everyone,

does anyone have an idea how to change the camera app launched by the Quickly open camera gesture?
Instead of the /e/OS camera, I would like to start the Fairphone camera app with two quick presses of the on/off button.
I have activated the Fairphone camera app under Settings > Apps, it can be started in the launcher and also works without any problems. However, I have not found a way to assign the Fairphone camera to this gesture or set it as the default camera app.
If there is no other way, it would also be acceptable to disable or uninstall the /e/OS camera if this is necessary to solve the problem.

I can’t help much with the gesture part for the moment (have no phone with the Fairphone camera App, or a different camera App), but …

… this can be done (and reverted) … Uninstall default apps - #29 by AnotherElk .

@Manoj or any other moderator: Could you please change the title of this thread to Start any other than /e/OS camera app using Quickly open camera gesture. I can’t change it anymore and feel this topic could be discussed independently of a specific camera app.

I know it at least used to be possible. I managed to set a custom camera app to launch when double tapping the power button, but can’t find the setting anymore. Maybe the option disappeared when I upgraded to Android 13. It’s been quite a while since I set it though, so I may have just forgotten.

I tried looking for the option, but didn’t get anywhere. I’ll let you know if I manage to find anything in the future.
