My device is Gigaset GS290, bought from the Murena website some years ago.
I have my own music/streaming server (Subsonic fork) and have a client for it, installed on the phone (DSub). With the client, it is possible to download music as desired, storing it as cache. It has the option to hide all downloaded files from other apps, which I have activated.
The data volume appears under “Apps storage”, which is correct, as I suppose.
Yet, under “Documents & other“, the device displays 11GB of data, which definitely are not there.
This is a new development, after deactivating the native “Music“ app. Given that, when activated, it would display all the music under “Audio”, displaying the same 11GB. Now that I deactivated the “Music” app, the files no longer appear under “Audio”, but the system seems to still locate the data (without displaying the files) and claiming that the same 11GB are being used.
This means, that the system is reading the same data volume of 11GB two times, taking up space that should be available.
How do I bring my device to read and display the correct storage amount being used, instead of double-counting the audio data?
I would appreciate any help!
Thanks in advance
