thank you, I put it here because i was thinking of something more characterizing for /e/, something natively integrated, that makes the difference between /e/ and another rom: anyone can get an app and install it. Instead this could be a feature that makes emerge /e/ from the sea of available ROMs

Yes, we need cloud encryption. This would set /e/ far and above the two big phone operating systems. This is how they get around butting heads with governments. They leave their cloud storage un-encrypted so they don’t have to defend the clients privacy. The alternative is for /e/ users to encrypt before they send to the cloud. But this doesn’t cover email. I there a way to encrypt using e.email?
Cryptomator app is not open source. Only its encrypting code is.
It is not just open source but also Free/libre.

They are trying to reserve the right to earn. Not sure how it works out for them.
I think people just want things for free and don’t really value their freedom and privacy.
