I’ve been using /e/OS for about a week and have adopted many apps from Murena’s Workspace. One issue: when I try to add Murena apps (like Passwords or News) to the home screen via the browser’s “Add to home screen,” the shortcut shows a blank white square instead of an icon.
There are a few solutions to this, I think, that I wanted to offer up as suggestions:
- Provide native Android apps for Murena services (News, Passwords, Bookmarks). If not preinstalled, offer them in App Lounge for users to download.
- Ensure each web app has a proper icon so browser-created home-screen shortcuts display correctly.
- Add an icon switcher (and perhaps app renaming) feature to BlissLauncher so users can set or change icons to whatever they want.
Just some thoughts anyway. Some people might not need this, and I know others will say “just use the Murena Workspace app.” But for me, having to tap 3-4 times to reach the app I want is a poor user experience, especially for someone with ADHD like me!
