Tamper seals have been tampered with?

Hello,

The other day I received my order for a Fairphone 6th gen from Murena, in the USA. Upon opening the box, the stickers saying “Flashed with /e/OS” have been damaged, possibly tampered with.

The stickers have not been completely cut like in Don't accept if seal is broken Fairphone 6 /e/ delivery - #16 by Pres92 , but I’m sure someone dedicated might have spent time to try and remove them without cutting them. Also, I noticed these stickers do NOT have the same words as other images I’ve seen, which say “do not accept if seal is broken”. Mine say “Flashed with /e/OS” twice.

I’m concerned but also curious if this minor amount of damage is normal. Have others encountered this?

@Manoj Could you comment on this?

For queries about the sales and support you should submit the query using the Contact Us if not already done. Share the image with the team.
They usually respond within 2-3 days due to the number of requests.

I submitted a support query on Jan 14 when the item was delivered. I will give it another 2-3 days.

Pl share the ticket number of the request you raised on the helpdesk.

I never got an email confirmation with a ticket number, the form submitted and that was it. Does this mean it did not actually create a ticket? I’m happy to open another one.

That should not happen. You should have got a ticket number. I will message you for some details to discuss this further.

Hello, I also noticed this issue when I received my FP6 a little over a week ago. Unfortunately I didn’t take a picture, but it looked similar to the damage shown in this post.

In my case it was only a small partial tear on one of the seals, and the sleeve around the box was very tight, so it seemed consistent with friction damage caused by reassembling the packaging after applying the seal. I didn’t find this concerning, but if there is a tampering issue it would be helpful to know about it.

Given how thick the seals are and how tight the box is, perhaps it would be helpful to place them alongside the original FairPhone seals instead of on top (or to provide a Murena branded sleeve).

@siol.an.domhain I would be interested to hear the resolution for your case, if you’re willing to share updates here.

I figured it could be friction damage as well, so thank you for verifying that this has occurred for others besides myself. Those are some good ideas for sticker placement, too.

I will definitely share any updates here.
