The certificate for mail.ecloud.global expired on 2/3/2026

Saw this on Thunderbird but also on murena.io snappy mail and on the device. I can’t send the message for helpdesk

Same here but different:

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. A user on the telegram channels has also reported this. Have passed on the screenshots to the developers to resolve.
Will update on the progress.

Also this is of concern as I have a GitHub account and explains why the last time I used JitsiMeet I could not login:

Does the email service never use something like stopforumspam.com to prevent bad actors signing up and spoiling it for the rest of us?

Seems fixed now.

Only trouble is I have never been able to make a password (in the past) for this forum. Maybe I can now?

They have a Telegram group. I wonder do they also have a Signal group. I though Telegram had privacy issues, or am I mistaking?

The certificate related issue has been resolved. The renewed certificates had not been updated. The error should not appear now.

Perhaps someone forgot to sign or post the cheque! This happened at a school where I worked that used Squirrel Mail! I would still like to know how the mail service is going to be more robust at not letting bad actors sign up for an e.email account.

I am still unable to send email due to the expired certificate on mail.ecloud.global. Here are some screenshots from about 10 minutes ago:

The new certificate appears to have been uploaded to the SMTP server and I can send emails again, thank you @Manoj if it was you who dealt with it!

The certificate issue was resolved yesterday. This error message should not show up now.

hi! i still can’t send emails from my posteo.de account to murena.io. the posteo mailer daemon says ‘Server certificate not verified’. maybe they just need some time to fetch the new certificate?

An Issue was raised by a user at https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/backlog/-/issues/9190 which reports of multiple domains not working like :
Hotmail.com, infomaniak.com, posteo.com

oh, that’s odd. i cant’ find issue 9190 on gitlab, not even in all issues. i’ll try again later

Sorry missed that part. The issue is not visible because the user who created it marked it as confidential.

Should this certificate error have appeared for someone who is NOT actively using an Murena.io email account through the Mail app?

I have unsuccessfully tried a few times to login to the Murena Workspace app, but I have never tried to use the Mail app on my device. I’ll admit I was put off when I saw the error message about the certificate, and left wondering what’s going on in the background.
