There is no plug-in available to display this file type

As of today, I am unable to open files in Murena file manager with my browser (I have tried several).

The error message is: No plug-in is available to display this file type.

This applies to .odt and .docx files. .jpg and .pdf files open normally.

Normally, I click once on a file name and the file opens for editing.

Now, when I click on a file name, the file is downloaded to my computer.

I can edit it there and then upload it again, but that is extra work and quite cumbersome.

Does anyone know what might be going on?

Is it this There is no plugin available to display this file type warning to open office files · Issue #1086 · ONLYOFFICE/onlyoffice-nextcloud · GitHub … and perhaps related to [There is no plugin available to display this file type] after click [edit] - ℹ️ Support - Nextcloud community ??

It seems that way, but I don’t see a solution.

I also have no idea why it still works on August 3 but not on August 4.

It’s something in Murena, because I get the same response on multiple types of operating systems.

I tried both provided links and they kind of described a similar problem… They didn’t specify if online-collaboration would be possible or not.
Plus I’m nost selfhosting in any way but am using a murena.io free-account

I have posted a similar problem as on yesterday. Looki looki

same problem here ! Is there something happening on the Murena cloud system ?

Is it a version thing?

If yes Nextcloud or Browser?

Nextcloud tend to fix errors in the “Next version”.

I tried FF and brave (under win 11) - both with the same outcome: not working as intended and as before

if anyone in this thread plans to stay with /e/ for long, worth to get a gitlab account with Manoj and post the bug to Issues · e / Backlog · GitLab (but I guess this couldn’t go unnoticed with murena themselves if they use it for daily tasks and created a non public entry)

demo video work best with UI / UX bugs

Someone over there at one of the above linked posted that this would be an already known issue - and it alreasy has a number. namely 73890.

Though I can’t check myself

anyways: right now online collaboration seem to be working again, at least for me.

I haven’t read any reports about it, but it seems to have been resolved.
