you want freeze TC in shelter ?? That’s makes no sense. A lot of spying apps are sending their collected data also, when they are not in use. Have a look in the TC logs. You will see how often special apps are knowing at home on door.
OK, ooookaaaayyyy…, I’m learning
All sheltered apps are still frozen, except when in use, one by one only. I tried to disable background data’s and other access, app bu app, but it creates bugs, and more with e-0.9-n (0.7 before).
I hope e-FOSS will be available soon…
PS : a short test with LOS 17.1 solved by a total freeze, last tuesday, while disabling background datas for the browser
Can TC also take away internet access for an app as does netguard or is it only focussing on specific URLs / trackers in apps?
Hello.
Update is available since yesterday, but download link resolves in a .amazonaws URL and aborts…
https:/ /github-production-release-asset-2e65be.s3.amazonaws […] type=application%2Fvnd.android.package-archive
Will d.l. *.apk with P.C., but it’s a bit schizophrenic…
Yes, it’s sad, but thousands of webpages are hosted on Amazon server farms. It’s github which is storing there sources on AMAZON servers. The developer can’t do anything against
Hi,
Does the /e/ appstore update TrackerControl as it does for Shelter?
Better use f-droid direct. Apps store is often behind f-droid and Aurora
Hello.
Update available:
(download from PC, drag & drop, tap to install, clone into Sheter…)
why don’t downloaded it direct via device browser ?? And one you have installed from Github, you will get notified on your device
Hi.
Yep, notified. But download from amazonaws aborts, with e.browser. Cause of my DNS ?..
Édith : update worked on e-0.10-n… Just had to clone into shelter after installed in main profile.
Do you use TrackerControl in both profiles (private and work)?
And if yes does it work simultaneously?
yes, you HAVE to use it in both profiles. And yes, the are working site by site
Hi,
I just installed e/ on my Xperia z3 Compact (test version). Then I have installed Trackercontrol but as soon as i switch it on :
- desactivating orbot
- desactivating private dns
- enabling browsers, messaging apps
There is no way to access internet, to receive messages.
Are you aware of any incompatibility between Xperia Z3 Compact and TrackerControl ?
Thank you
When starting TrackerControl, you have gotten a message on screen, that no private DNS is allowed.
TrckerControl and all other tracker blocker are using own VPN to control the network connections. Because you can only use one VPN at the time on Android, TOR is disabled or TC is disable. Both can’t work together
I don’t know what does it means. Browser is always enabled and messages too. That’s standard. Both is allways activated, with TC and without
Thank you for answering
Nevertheless none of the application needing inernet acces works if I turn on TC… and good bye TC.
Hi guys !
I’ve installed TrackerControl on my /e/ Galaxy A3 and it stops all internet connection…
I’ve uninstalled it, uninstalled Blockada, be sure to have no VPN, disabled private DNS, rebooted the phone (because why not…) and re-installed TC.
Whatever I do, when TC is on I have no connection… Even when I turn off the monitoring on chromium, it won’t work untill I put TC off again…
Any idea ?
Thx
Matt
This is reported from several users. Could you please report to the dev https://t.me/TrackerControl
That’s one of those weird situations I haven’t been able to figure out. TC works on all but one of my ROMs. AOSP-CAF Nougat on a Moto G5 Plus. No matter what it cuts off all internet access.
I read the notes from the Blokada FAQs/Knowledge base related to that issue but nothing works. Since TC works with other ROMs on that device and others (with /e/OS) it’s hard to narrow down why it doesn’t work.
Ok, done !
Thanks !
