Hello, I am trying to transfer the call logs and text messages from my iPhone to the Pixel 8 I have installed /e/OS on but am running into trouble running the program Libimobiledevice to transfer them. Would anyone be able to help out in any capacity?

You can use the message back up built into the app> Menu> Backup and Restore, pick restore location, then create the backup. Then use USB cable and PC/Laptop to save backup or save it cloud.
As for the call logs I am not sure if that is possible on any android phone.

I am able to plug in the iPhone to the laptop but when I type the command ideviceinfo it comes back as ‘no device found’.
Do you go to USB configuration and set it to file transfer? Or the equivalent on the iPhone, you probably have to give permission for PC and iPhone to connect.

if you do a simple lsusb, does any Apple thing show up? if not, it’d be udev rules to adjust
