Transferring Images Android to Android Timestamps Change

It’s always been my understanding when transferring from Android to Android this works, at least it has always worked for me, on stock manufacturer google roms.

Just last week using a OnePlus phone and a Samsung tablet, both with the stock Google roms, I was transferring images back and forth with these devices and the timestamps didn’t change.

When I put e on the OnePlus phone, and tried transferring images from the Samsung tablet to the phone, or from the phone to the tablet, the timestamps changed.

I’m using e OS 2.8-a14 on my phone…

Is there any file apps 100% guaranteed, that will work and not change the timestamps?

I don’t now of any apps guaranteed to preserve the timestamp, but you might try middle-manning with a PC, it’s a hassle, but may be a work-around.

Actually I now realize there is a problem with the Gallery app in e. Some images will be displayed with the Modified Date instead of the Date Taken.

I wonder if others have also noticed this too?
