Trash bin in gallery app?

Hi,

I’m running /e/OS 3.0.4 on a FP3+, and I couldn’t find an answer to the following question in the docs and posts:

Is there a trash bin/ recycle bin for deleted pics in the stock gallery app? Or can it be (de)activated somehow?

Or is a deleted item just mercylessly removed?

Are there thumbnails saved somewhere?

How is it with the files app?

Not from default Gallery … oh yes (below) recent builds only … previously merciless

Fossify Gallery has a recycle bin. I’m not sure about the default gallery app.

it’s introduced in either A14 or A15 even with the stock gallery

Thanks for this as it was something that I wanted to know about as well. I found .thumbnails and emptied it as I didn’t want any deleted items remaining. Are there any other hidden folders where the default Gallery app might store deleted items?
