Unable to login in with 'ANWB onderweg' app

In the ‘ANWB onderweg’ app I was not able to login to
The app opens the browser and is hanging on the text ‘We zijn je gegevens aan het controleren’. Other functionality of the app which don’t need the login data is working.

I am using /E/os 3.1.2 on a Fairphone 6.

The cause of the problem is the standard browser of /E/os. I changed the standard browser to Firefox and the problem is solved.
