Unlocking oem flag after installation

I have a financial app that complains that I am using a rooted cell phone. Now I have read on grapheneos that you can reset the oem unlocking flag after installation.

  1. could this (oem unlocking) have a connection with my finance app?
  2. is it also possible to reset the oem unlocking on /e/OS? And what would be the effect?

You don’t say your device but I estimate that 95% of /e/OS installed devices cannot lock bootloader.

Those that will lock the instructions are clearly given on the install page. If you don’t see the instruction it will not be possible.
