New test builds:

e-3.7-a14-20260413-UNOFFICIAL-GX4.zip

e-3.7-a15-20260413-UNOFFICIAL-GX4.zip

Potentially this then could also work:

e-3.7-a14-20260413-UNOFFICIAL-vidofnir.zip

e-3.7-a15-20260412-UNOFFICIAL-vidofnir.zip

Hi Ronnz.

Thanks for your dev  !

For GX4 pro, GX4 or vidofnir is preferred ?

get.libremobileos.com not responding. Can you give me the way for install it on my GX4 pro ? Ils it possible to flash it with the gigaset standard recovery (oem unlock OK and USB debug OK) ?

Thanks a lot,

Cyril.

Hello,

With wayback archive, I have found recovery for x23, but not for GX4. Is it the same ?

Did you check the difference between GX4 and GX4 Pro? The check is “do they share the same device codename?” [HOWTO] Find device codename.

Hi.

The GX4 pro as the same specs point for point with the Volla X23 (6Gb of RAM/128Gb ROM) and the GX4 only 4Gb/64Gb.

Okay. I can access the standard recovery mode of my GX4 Pro by pressing Volume + and Power. If I understand correctly, it’s impossible to flash another operating system with this recovery mode, and I have to use the LibreMobileOS recovery. I asked the question in the LibreMobileOS Telegram group, and I was told that the server was down and there was no way to fix it. The Wayback Machine archives contain the boot.img and vendor_boot.img files for the X23, but not those for the GX4. So my question is: can I flash the boot.img and vendor_boot.img files from the X23 onto my GX4 Pro since they have the same specs?

recovery.img is generally included into the /e/ .ZIP. (could be into the payload.bin)

Please wait until testing. I dont have yet feedback and it might brick your device

I’ve tested with GS5 /e/os ZIP (I have this device too) and no recovery.img found. Payload.bin have this files :

-boot.img

-dtbo.img

-product.img

-system.img

-vbmeta.img

-vbmeta_system.img

-vbmeta_vendor.img

-vendor.img

What files do I need ? If there are multiple files, in what order should I flash them ?

many recent devices don’t have separate “recovery” partition, but recovery is part of the boot.img or vendor_boot.img.

in most case additional partitions to flash prior to recovery are : dtbo, vbmeta, boot

Same here. You must search to find the correct install instructions.

Argh. I try to but it’s very hard. Telegram LMO group can’t help me too. I’m lost :upside_down_face:

I found this for GS5 via wayback archive of LMO (page 6)

Wayback Machine*

But nothing for gx4 or gx4 pro. Only for x23 (same hardware of gx4 pro).

For the GS5, are these the files needed for recovery?

In what order should I flash them?
Thanks again for your help :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi all.

For GX4 pro, use vidofnir (Volla X23).

Extract boot.img ans vendor_boot.img from e/os ZIP ans flash thème in fastboot mode (unlock bootloader before). Reboot into recovery ans flash ZIP un ADN command.

3.1.4 flash ok bit freeze on Gigaset spash screen when I reboot it.

With same method for Volla OS, it’s OK. My GX 4 pro run today on Volla OS 15.

Thank for testing. I look at the github page of volla today:

and the sources are very outdated-latest version available is A13 based.

Maybe someone want to ask Volla if they want to share newest sources?
