The problem with older phones running e/OS (and even LineageOS) is that Volte/IMS is not certified by operators. With the phasing out of 2G and 3G, the phone will no longer be able to make or receive calls.

Not older phones, but none of the Samsung phones.

Thank you for this build! Would you also be willing to give some advice?

I installed TWRP, followed by the repartition-script and your image. I deleted cache/dalvik and rebooted. Now I’m stuck at the e/OS bootlogo (for >45min now).

Any help is kindly appreciated, thank you!

Try /e/OS-S version if this version does not work

I can only assume you mean the following build: e-3.0.4-s-20250716-UNOFFICIAL-a3y17lte.zip

But as another user already mentioned (eOSBuildsRonnz98 Reviews - 2025), the SIM is not recognized with this version. And I like to add: /e/OS boots up with an Android System warning message (in German for me): “Android-System - Es liegt ein internes Problem mit deinem Gerät vor. Bitte wende dich diesbezüglich an den Hersteller.”

If the newer version has this issue fixed I can’t tell since it won’t boot.

I’d be happy if you could invest some time to make this work. The A3 is the smallest non-Apple phone available. It would be great to have it running with /e/OS.

At least there is an A10 confirmed working well. I’ll check for A12 when I find some time
