My first installation was done via TWRP > Install

Now I did a further installation via adb sideload
- and the /e/OS system boots and can be set up.

Something strangeā¦
Trying to flash the new build, but I donāt have a recovery anymore ā was TWRP
Now I can only get into ODIN modeā¦
Really strange⦠for me it worked and TWRP recovery was workingā¦if I remember correct I have twrp-3.6.2_9-0 installed
I had the same TWRP, just flashed it again, followed by your build:
Have you noticed anything new/different in1.16?
Thanks, as always
Update for /e/OS-R-1.17
As always ā Thank you!
One thing I was hoping for:
/e/OS browser will be updated to the latest chromium version.
Team is working on adding some features to the interface
Did not happen, itās still Bromite
Browser 117.0.5938.156
Sidenote to @ronnz98 just now the radio plays Major Tom, seriously Space Oddity
I use Firefox anyway. Maybe I try build with Firefox and/or Chromium includedā¦
ah. Do you know how this can be implemented?
I know the basics⦠that it is a system component app developer can call to display their apps.
Here is one example, in the /e browser:
So, apps are still using this old version off a webview, which may cause issues and we can not change it, by installing a different browser, unfortunately
I think on rooted devices you can use adb to replace the webview, or add a different one.
Not sure if root-debugging does work for this
ah ok. If anyone can guide me I can try a build with different webview
I bookmarked this a while ago (I started building, mostly to figure out Overlays, but still on to do list)

Edit:
Mulch webview seems to be the new GOTO solution:
