Thank you I just tested it and it is functional.

The stylus can be used again and finaly recharged !!!

Also a defect noted, in “parameter”, “accessibility”, “system command”, “navigation mode”, the three button navigation is bugged, the three buttons does not appear instead of this is a graphic bug with the icons of the bottom of the home screen that appears, this part is not functional.

Gesture navigation works (even if I don’t like this navigation at least for the moment it works).

So to see the evolution of the Android 15 ROM that you custom and see how it work, please take your time to make the ROM Custom

I’m trying to find my way through, but I’m only back for 2 days in the dev world.
Thanks for being kind and welcoming, that’s very appreciated.

Pipa testing will have to wait for a month, since I just made the Mi account step (#1 of unlocking)

For now, I’ll start playing with /e/ on my A5 2016 (other thread), thanks for your work there too!
Update: thread [UNOFFICIAL BUILDS] Samsung Galaxy A3 (a3xelte), A5 (a5xelte), A7 (a7xelte) for /e/OS-R - #15 by Tintin closed, so I can’t feedback (2.2-r working fine on a5xelte )

I’m already running e/OS (2.2-r) on my old a5xelte for some weeks, and got the unlock/flash procedure easy (already ran some LOS in the past too).

Still, your procedure is very detailed and nice, thanks for your work!

The last link from @ronnz98 is particularly interesting.

On the build-myself side, my PC and DSL connection are definitely not enough tried 2 cycles (24h each), both failing…

I was able to build build a11 based using my 16Go RAM,
repo sync was not a problem for me, but when i tried brunchwith a15, i faced the entire system freeze, and stay stucked for more than 18h without achieving one of the first tasks analysing .MK files that should be done after 1 or 3 minutes, it is nomore possible for me as 2x8Go is the maximum on my low class 2011 motherboard.

it took me 47 days, but I was finally able to win over Xiaomi bootloader unlock nightmare
(30 days for account validity, 2 weeks to address the Quota limitation issue then 72h to get the final unlock).

Your above ROM works great so far @ronnz98. I’m using it to post this message.
Tests still in progress, and I’ll post an update later. But huge thanks for your work.
Note that I will buy a coffee to Xiaomi Pad 6 Custom ROMs | pipa And if possible to you too…

But I had to trick a bit to get it to boot:

• the first run, using DerpFest A15 recovery files and your 3.4 /e/ ROM, I got stuck in a bootloop!
• when doing the final factory reset (multiple times), I was seeing a message that “metadata/ota” doesn’t exist
• I thought about testing with twrp or orangefox, but did not so far
• I then flashed using DerpFest ROM
  • the factory reset message was absent
  • the ROM booted
• I then flashed again your 3.4 ROM and … tadaaaa

Other feedbacks (e/ side probably, need more investigation on my side):

• I had to put my google account in AppLounge, to be able to install apps from GooglePlay.
  Anonymous mode was failing
• BlissWeather didn’t init with the position. I had to set it manually and force refresh

I’m also planning to post a Request Device to promote Xiaomi Pad 6 to Community build (but dreaming of Official ).
I’m unclear yet on what it exactly implies and would appreciate guidances.

thanks again a lot @ronnz98 I’m finally able to run a recent /e/ and move on the more active contribution testing on my old Galaxy A5 2016 (a5xelte) on /e/ 2.2-r was a bit uneazy

That’s so great to also have a 3.6-a16 too now how stable do you think?

I’ll continue my /e/ onboarding and testing with 3.5 for now, and test 3.6-a16 probably next weekend.

I did a dirty upgrade using local update, for switching from /e/ 3.4 to 3.5, both A15.
