So you dirty flashed from 3.5-a15 to 3.6-a16 and all good? No need to backup / restore?

Update:

On Settings specific to Xiaomi Pad 6 tablets in Connected Devices are not translated and mispelled (#9231) Ā· Issues Ā· e / Backlog Ā· GitLab , Iā€™ve worked with the upstream whoā€™s very nice.

Running on it now, thanks so much @ronnz98 :folded_hands:

First feedback:

  • Everything seems good so far, applied via Local update
  • Dolby Atmos app and Settings have disappeared. Canā€™t find the same on AppLounge
  • Connected Devices specifics (the ones I translated for BT keyboard, stylus and smart lid) have disappeared too. On the previous 3.6-a16 build, I think I saw the stylus or keyboard in another menu (Display?)

That latest 3.6-a16 is actually unstable :shaking_face:

Seems matching the feedbacks on the XDA thread you pointed me @ronnz98 .

Probably the same for your other 3.6-a16 build. I cant say since i only used it 2 hours before upgrading to the next :sweat_smile:

WiFi connectivity is fine, surfing and basic ops work.

However:

  • I lost the sound
  • Video playback is jerky
  • I lost the specific pad 6 Settings, as per my above comment.
  • Iā€™ve seen a few ā€œscrambled screens), upon reboot or when changing sound level during a video playback
  • I lost access to gPlay in AppLounge. Update: actually due to AppLounge able to use microG google account now. Unlogging in AppLounge, then relogging using System wide allows to select microG preset

Iā€™ll continue testing, but Iā€™m considering going back to 3.5-a15 :face_with_peeking_eye:

Is there something I can discuss with nullpointer1101? (He wonā€™t be avail for some weeks, starting nowā€¦)

@ronnz98 any advice on the rollback or wait?

I assume that thereā€™s no anti-rollback, but is it safe to go from 3.6-a16 to 3.5-a15?

Also, is there any 3.6-a15 planned? Could be more stable, no?

I donā€™t wanna brick more my only /e/ device :sweat_smile:

Iā€™ll test it, but considering my previous attempts on A16 builds, I fear to lose again video and audio on my tablet (used as a TV). And have hard time getting back to an a!most stable 3.5-A15, to recover.

As per NullPointer and Community, A16 builds are still unstable!

Would consider an A15 3.7 build?

Details:

Local update failed to import.

So I went for recovery: blank page.

So I reflashed all .IMG, got the recovery and did adb sideloadā€¦
