I have both those devices and i can test but are they outdated microg versions?
Yes, microG is outdated for these builds. Only for a12 builds (/e/OS-S) and later you have current microG
The instruction are very poor. Looking for instruction on official distributions of similar devices one should unlock the bootloader via a MI acccount. Is this the case here too ?
The guide assumes you already have an unlocked bootloader, on msm8953 devices its possible to unlock the bootloader in EDL mode instantly, but of course it can be done via the official method too.
Edit: those devices dont use the msm8953 but can still be unlocked unofficially
thank you for your answer. I never used EDL mode. I read that it can be activated for example using adb. but then I do not understand how one can flash the recovery. does one do the same operations calling fastboot ?
You can try also A10 based version now
Excuse me for my stupidity, those devices use mediatek helio, in that case you can still unlock the bootloader with unofficial methods without mi account or waiting, check xiapmi bootloader tool and or mtkclient

Theres no adb to unlock the bootloader… either use the official method or xioami bootloader tool and or mtkclient

Please be careful if you use xiaomi bootloader tool as is it marked as a virus, use it only in a spare system and offline, or a spare windows installation disk, it does however work i have used it in the past.

Wrong Thread but 1.17 works well. Only missing advanced privacy apk and an option for seedvault in the menu. The apk is there. Thanks!
