Hi to everyone. Thanks for helping Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 users ! :wink:

Iā€™m a truly beginner in smartphones in general and e/Os in particular. Two stupid questions :

  • My smartphone is a Xiami Redmi Note 11 pro 5G. Is the setup working on it ? Iā€™m not sure whether there is a difference between the ā€˜proā€™ or non ā€˜proā€™ versions.
  • Once the OS is installed, will further OS updates automatically install or should I re-install anytime an update show up?

Sorry for the stupid questions. Iā€™m used to Linux but on smartphones, everything seems more complex and harware dependant! Since smartphones stores our entire life, I fear blocking my phone.

I just managed to download this Image as it is served only from a very slow server in india. . On my 5th attempt I have it now. I flashed it from the CRdroid recovery without error. These are my observations:

1. Camera works as intended;

2. Wifi can be switched on and off and I can see available networks;

3. It is however impossible to connect to any WIFI network. It will always say the password is false.

I also flashed the latest Crdroid and there WIFI works just fine on the same networks.

Any Idea?

Do you also try non 5Ghz network?

well it is both, on the same ssid, so i cant choose unless I disable 5ghz. should I try?

If that is indeed the case, then iā€™m afraid it is not usable yet. Let me know if you want me to test it anyway

Hi! Thanks for the last update of Redmi Note 11.
I have a problem with the last update. This update tells me ā€œdonā€™t signā€ and then ā€œinstallation abortedā€.
Am I the only one with this problem?

e-3.7.3-a16-20260516-UNOFFICIAL-spes.zip

Yesterday I tried to install e-3.7.3-a16 via the recovery of e-3.2-a15-20251111-UNOFFICIAL-spes, which was already installed.(clean flash)
The installation fails at 47% (either directly or from the SD-card)
I re-downloaded the e-3.7.3-a16 version and restarted the installations, which all failed.

I extracted and flashed boot.img and vendor-boot.img e-3.7.3-a16.
Unable to reboot in recovery mode, only the MI logo is displayed.

the installation of e-3.7.2-t-20260522-UNOFFICIAL-spes.zip did not cause any particular problem.
