[UNOFFICIAL BUILD] Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 (lavender) for eOS-T

Can confirm that with the android 15 version the phone switches to fastboot, while e/OS 3.0 with android 13 boots perfectly fine

merci pour l’info. J’étais tentĆ© pour l’installer, je vais patienter. C’est dommage car lineage fonctionne bien en version ( hormis le GPS)

thanks for the info. I was tempted to go there, I’ll wait. It’s a shame because lineage works well in version (apart from GPS)

Une petite question :

Le gps fonctionne avec e/os ?

Elle fonctionne mais n’est pas super prĆ©cise, il y a une diffĆ©rence de 100m environ

this is the ENGLISH forum part…NOT french.

its so simple as that.

Salut
I have tried to follow this procedure, and managed to install the recovery (only the version 20250830 from LOS 22.2 is available on the repo), but I am blocked here because adb / fastboot both can’t detect any device after applying the factory reset / format data. So I can’t neither sideload a system, nor replace the recovery… bricked?

Hello.

Can you detail the problem ?

Originally you had which ROM ?

Did you follow my procedure because the installation of e/os did not York ?

I initially had an old version of the /e/OS (android 11, stable I think). No I haven’t tried to install /e/OS right away. I had initially TWRP and wanted to install the OrangeFox recovery to prepare for a more recent android version, but the size of the image was bigger than the size of the partition. So I followed your procedure.

if u have successfully installed a recovery just copy your rom via usb to the device (sd card would be best) and install it via recovery.

It would be nice, but the recovery from LOS has much less features compared to TWRP and does not seem to allow that.

Advanced options:

  • Enter fastboot (no device detected)
  • Reboot to bootloader
  • Reboot to recovery
  • Mount/unmount system
  • View recovery logs
  • Enable ADB (no device detected)
  • Power off

I have tried several cables… it seems it’s bricked.

Last things I have tried, in ā€œFactory resetā€:

  • Format data/factory reset (done, complete)
  • Format cache partition (done, complete)
  • Format system partition → failes with errors (failed to find dm device path for system)

The method is simple. Put the ROM on a South Map Access the recovery. Now tap Factory Reset, then Format data / factory reset and continue with the formatting process Then go to apply update. Choose the ROM on the sd card. And restart.

Je viens de faire le test.

Le GPS fonctionne avec LineageOS 22 avec le MicroG suivant.

I just did the test. The GPS works with LineageOS 22 with the following MicroG.

I assume you mean ā€œSD cardā€ (I haven’t thought that this simple recovery could auto-load it).
In the end, the phone eventually showed up with fastboot devices under unclear and rare conditions (reboot laptop, let the phone in a bootloop, reboot to fastboot with cable unplugged, replug, tons of repeats, …). I could return to TWRP recovery, and install LOS 22.2 + the above version of mircoG from USB-OTG (not sure what’s wrong with adb on this device…).
I will stick with LOS and test it for some time.

i would suggest to go with orangefox, which is more advanced (fork) than twrp and still gets updates for our old device.

also the update via sd card as i suggested is simple.

I would actually like to, but get the following error:

$ fastboot flash recovery OrangeFox-R11.3-lavender.zip
Warning: skip copying recovery image avb footer (recovery partition size: 67108864, recovery image size: 71049625).
Sending 'recovery' (69384 KB) OKAY [ 1.585s]
Writing 'recovery' FAILED (remote: 'Error flashing partition : Volume Full')

hmm…ok. never had this problem. have u tried an older orangefox release? or can u install the latest twrp? and then try to flash orangefox from within twrp from sd card?

The problem is simple. The recovery must be in.img format On your computer, you need to unzip the OrangeFox-R11.3-lavender.zip In the folder there will be the recovery.img
