[UNOFFICIAL BUILD] Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 (lavender) for eOS-T

i’m “still” on 3.0 and recognize a really bad GPS behaviour. every app requesting gps gets only very flaky a gps lock. sometimes it gets a lock/fix out of the box. but most of the time is never gets a fix. doesnt matter if i kill every other app using gps, nor rebooting helps. does anyone else having this error?

i dont use gps on regular basis but i think it was much better in older releases, eg. 2.6 or 2.9?!?

how are things in A15?

To improve geolocation, you can use [position.xyz]

It works.

In → System → microG → Location.

At the top right, there are 3 small dots.

  • Choose the online location service

Choose → Custom

Enter the following URL:

https ://api.positon.xyz/?key=74600654-2aec-11ef-aa95-3b7218da6865

You press → OK

In fact, it is explicitly stated on OrangeFox recovery’s website that the zip must not be unzipped but flashed as is. I guess some features do not work by flashing the uncompressed recovery.img. But it was sufficient to use the .img to flash ROM or the zip of the recovery itself from SD card.

Bonjour à tous j’ai essayé d’installer orangefox mais j’ai l’erreur suivante : root@localhost platform-tools]# ./fastboot flash recovery /home/barnabe49/Téléchargements/platform-tools/OrangeFox-R11.3_1_kernel_419-lavender.zip
< waiting for any device >
Warning: skip copying recovery image avb footer (recovery partition size: 67108864, recovery image size: 70205344).
Sending ‘recovery’ (68559 KB) OKAY [ 1.642s]
Writing ‘recovery’ FAILED (remote: ‘Error flashing partition : Volume Full’)
fastboot: error: Command failed
Que dois-je faire?
Merci
Hello everyone I tried to install orangefox but I got the following error :

Writing ‘recovery’ FAILED (remote: ‘Error flashing partition : Volume Full’)
fastboot: error: Command failed

What should I do?
THANKS

this error has already been answered in this topic.

Merci pour le retour. Effectivement, c’était bien abordé. Par contre, je ne trouve pas comment installer orangefox en img :sob:
Thanks for the feedback. Indeed, it was well addressed. On the other hand, I can’t find how to install orangefox in img

You have already made a mistake.

There are two choices for fox orange recovery.

kernel 4.19 and kernal 4.4

e/os uses kernel 4.4

So you need to use the correct one:

Bonsoir MaximusDecimus

Je vous remercie pour votre retour. Par contre, j’ai toujours le même message d’erreur. Comment fait on pour la méthode d’installation que vous suggérer plus haut?

Good evening MaximusDecimus

Thank you for your feedback. However, I still get the same error message. How do we go about the installation method that you suggested above?

Connect your device to the computer via USB cable.

Type “adb devices” to verify that your device is detected.

Type “adb reboot bootloader” to restart your device in bootloader mode.

Once in bootloader mode, type the following command :

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

After flash, use fastboot reboot to restart your device.

For anyone wanting to use Revolut on e/os with this device theres a simple solution granted the bootloader must be unlocked via unofficial method, then you need to root and edit build.prop simply remove the e_ from the build id and change dev-keys to keys userdebug to user also change lineage_levender_userdebug to levender_user, then open up magisk and select uninstall then complete uninstall

Thank you for the trick @gianncap994

This also should be done using TWRP instead of Magisk (copy file to a reachable place, then edit build.prop with a text editor and replace it)

Yes that is true, just make sure to use : https://github.com/reveny/Android-Native-Root-Detector/releases/download/v7.6.1/native-root-detector-v7.6.1.apk
If it detects your bootloader unlocked it wont work, but if you need to use revolut i can help

I don’t but there are many users who need help,
See how numerous are topics about revolut :

Search results for 'revolut' - /e/OS community

This is device specific to the redmi note 7 and if its bootloader is unlocked via unofficial “ubl” method, theres a youtube video about it, if done this way the unlock is not detectable by apps

Anyone with officially unlocked lavender can try and share their results, but if bootloader unlocked status is detectable it wont work.

I got mine from electronics recycling and it was mi account locked, used this method and saw that bootloader status wasnt visible and revolut works after the build.prop tweak

Hi,
I recently performed a dirty flash of the ROM, upgrading from the official version 2.3. Everything appears to be working well, except for the following issue:

"Profiles Trust Provider keeps stopping."

To resolve this, I added the following file:

in the following path:

/system/system_ext/etc/permissions

it’s been two days now without any errors.

The profile switching works perfectly when a Bluetooth device is connected or disconnected.

Thank you for your work!

Note 7 (Lavender) and Mi 8 lite (Platina) are using the same SoC.

Is there any chance of a newer e/os build for platina?

Maybe based on GitHub - LineageOS/android_device_xiaomi_platina

or GitHub - pix106/android_kernel_xiaomi_southwest-4.19: Android 4.19 kernel for SDM660 (clover, lavender, platina) based on CLO

There’s also this GitHub - Rocky7842/android_kernel_xiaomi_sdm660 at lineage-23.0
