Hello, I got one such device passed to e/OS, but can’t manage to get another one through the process, badly documented on my own. Would you mind sharing some tips in private message ?

Hello Didou.

To install these ROMS you can follow the install guides written by @piero here [HOWTO] an Unified Install Guide Project for /e/ (or this one in french : [HowTo] un Projet de Guide d' Installation Unifié pour **/e/**)

Lots of steps, with lots of infos : make sure to read everything carefully, and don’t forget to expand the “brand/device specific” sections. Make a backup of all you data, and re-read the crucial steps carefully before you go.

In my experience it’s important to have time, do things slowly and carefully. I’ve made a few trial and errors leading to boot-loops, but each time I was able to fix them by re-reading, trying to undersand what I was doing wrong and flashing the needed piece of software, with odin when necessary. Just keep calm and take your time. I use the twrp recovery, as the e-recovery leads to boot-loop and doesn’t work on my devices. Twrp doesn’t allow for data encryption.
Before you start, you can read this post where I try to summarize my journey across /e/, and get an idea of what is working and what is not : Features for keeping old device using unofficial build - #12 by AurelienS

Also you can get help on this community : @tcecyk @aibd and @piero are the ones who helped me a lot when I had questions.
About me I don’t have a big experience of flashing ROMs, but did quite a lot of trial and errors so if I can help just write me your question in PM.

If you have a20e this [ROM][PORTED][11] Custom Roms for Galaxy A20e (Lineage, Havoc..) | XDA Forums and another source mention the need to use a dtbo.img. One could check with payload-dumper-go that it exists in this ROM.
