Update : Is it possible to share an ecloud storage with my family?

Continuing the discussion from Share ecloud storage with family?:

Hello,

I’m a long time murena user and now that my children are growing I’m considering giving them a murena account. I would like to link those accounts to my 64 Go murena cloud.

How to achieve this ? I cannot find any information about how to create a new user with its specific email address within my murena account.

Thanks for your attention !

Regards,

Remi

Hi @remdug welcome to the /e/ user forum.

You link an older thread … here’s another more recent Pricing suggestion for Murena workspace

Thank you aibd for your feedback.

I left a request at Murena and hope I can soon share here a solution.

Are you aware of an old email trick which might work (but untested on Murena premium)?

Say you have a working email address of

jack@murena.io

By old school email rules you are expected to be able to use additional identities with the “+one” method. You set up on different email clients:

jack+one@murena.io
jack+jill@murean.io
jack+tom@murena.io

Normally each should have an individual password but in quick testing this seems problematic on the Murena account unlrss all share one password.

Untested in Mail app but many / most email clients will simply accept the “+one” identity.

One, Jill and Tom are expected to be able to collect their mail on their individual devices.

I didn’t know this interesting trick.

An email I send to myself+1@murena.io actually reaches my inbox. But if I configure another client (my child’s device’s K9 mail) with this address the configuration won’t work.

I guess I could configure my own address and play with filters for sorting but at this moment I prefer trying a cleaner option : )

Thanks again for your help !!

To follow on from that thread, I actually did contact the helpdesk team as suggested by Manoj. I got a response saying they don’t currently have a family plan but that it is being considered for future updates.

A pretty standard response, but we can always hope. Of course, the more they’re contacted about it, the higher up the list of jobs it will be
