I’m experiencing a recurring issue with my Fairphone 6 running /e/OS:
The phone works normally after a fresh boot.
After some time (a few hours or more), the upload speed drops significantly (~1.3 Mb/s) while the download speed stays normal (~60 Mb/s).
This happens both on Wi-Fi and on 4/5G mobile data.
Video calls (Messenger, Signal) become impossible: frozen video.
If I restart the phone, upload speed returns to normal for a while, then the problem reappears.
Tests performed:
Turning Wi-Fi off/on → no improvement
Speedtest with and without Wi-Fi → upload limitation for both (not exactly the same amount)
Different apps (Messenger, Signal) → same issue
Problem occurs with two different networks (home Internet and mobile )
Setup:
Model: Fairphone 6
OS: /e/OS version 3.0.4
Wi-Fi router: Netgear Orbi Mesh
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Any tips to diagnose it, configuration change or is there a fix planned?
