Viewing / importing contacts from sim card

Hello, I am migrating from an Android phone to e/OS and I know most contacts are on my sim card and others are in my google account.

Now I was expecting the ones from the sim to show up without question, but apparently I have to import them on this OS and I tried but all I see on the sim and Google accounts is the Voicemail contact.

Why doesn’t e/OS support sim contacts? Or how do we get to them?

I’m on eos 4.0.

Please try this:

Contacts app > 3 bar menu top left >
Settings > Contacts to display >
Customise :radio_button: >
Device > All contacts :check_box_with_check:

Thank you for your reply. I have tried this but it already said all contacts on device.

I tried adding my google contacs because I should have a lot, but this also added nothing to my contacts.

Synchronization was turned on for the google account at an earlier stage.

So we are together on the idea that you have two sources of contacts? The SIM or on Device contacts you should now have control of. So I had aimed to answer

Perhaps you expected more?

Part two.

A better way to transfer those contacts is to use

  • Export to .vcf from the Google account
  • Transfer the .vcf file by any method to the phone for simplicity.
  • On the phone try Import from .vcf

Well together that there are more sources, yes, but I was expecting more contacts from the sim, yes.

Also from Google. If I export them, the sync would be gone and I would have just another copy to maintain.

If anyone could tell me how to sync, I would much obliged.

Agreed there is that danger.

Perhaps you could show the workflow you used.

Did you use the Google migration plugin ?
