On my new Gigaset GS6, I am unable to set up WiFi Calling with my Freebox Pop, despite having carefully configured everything, while it works perfectly with my Redmi 14 running Android 16. How can I resolve this issue?

What happens when you try? What is FreeBox Pop.
Edit: Looks like FreeBox Pop does not support VoLTE for your phone or even the GigiSet phone series.

Since Gigaset has only recently resumed smartphone manufacturing and the GS6 is very new, it’s not surprising that it’s not yet listed by Free. However, I would be quite surprised if a modern smartphone couldn’t take advantage of this feature.
I would reach out to FreeBox and ask them to certify the phone on their system, I am sure the GS6 can do Wifi Calling.
Hi, otherwise, can you connect to wi-fi and use it? I assume you can, just checking… 
I am also confident that the GS6 can perform WiFi calls, especially since /e/ allows for its configuration. I will try with another carrier first, then contact Free to ensure the GS6 can make WiFi calls from their boxes.

Yes, this option is on.
I’ve tried various options, but the GS6 has never been able to make calls via my router’s Wi-Fi.
What e/OS version are you running on your GS6?
On 4.0 my GS6 could only use WPA2 security verification and only on 4.1.1 it manages now to connect to the router using WPA3.
I might be nit picking but just wonder if the WPA type could have anything to do with it.
I mean if freebox has any requirements.
I tested it today on another older box (Orange Livebox), and the result is the same with the GS6, while it works fine with another smartphone. Perhaps a Murena developer could tell us more?

My problem seems to have been sorted, but I don’t really understand why :
It would be good if the smartphone were capable of making Wi-Fi calls straight out of the box and/or if instructions were provided with the device.
Sorry Altau, so what, if anything, did You need to do to sort it out?
I know in my Motorola phone a16 3.7.1 that the WiFi slider switch has been moved by Android I believe starting at a16.
Before a16 you could open settings then type in WiFi calling and it would have a result, but not now.
The location is as follows: Setting> Network and Internet> Your Phone Provider setting cog/gear> scroll down to Wi-Fi Calling touch it the the slider is visible.

But I’ve just received a reply from my mobile provider saying that the Gigaset GS6 isn’t yet approved for making Wi-Fi calls. So I’ll have to wait – I don’t know for how long – even though I really need it because my 3G/4G connection is very poor where I live.
