I recently bought a refurbished Fairphone 6 and Google was in my face making me search for all the cancel, skip, later and whatnot. So I wanted to get rid of the preinstalled android and move to /e/OS Murena, which I did. The WebUSB installer was easy and before I knew it I was looking Murena right in the face. So far so good.
Now the issue I have is that I also would like to lock my bootloader. And last I hurd this requires knowledge of what specific SPL (security patch level) both new and old system have. But since I have already put the ânewâ system on it, I have not the vaguest clue whether I can fish that info out somewhere. I checked with âfastboot flashing get_unlock_abilityâ and it gave me a 1, which I highly appreciate. But yet I do not know what âabilityâ is in this sense as it may still be the ability to brick.
My current system has 5th of july on it.
I would like some help in either retreiving the âoldâ SPL so I can make the compare - or a logical other solution, like ⌠waiting it out? Lock it like half a year later, would that do the trick or something? I donât mind waiting, itâs just that for as long as itâs unlocked Iâd rather not lose my phone you seeâŚ
