QCC (com.qti.qcc**) is listed separately from the system apps.**
I noticed it when I was looking at my network usage.
Online I can find that it’s from Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. but otherwise no consistent information about its function or why it would be included in /e/os.
Edit: This is not on a Samsung device, but FP6 and I’m using the latest official build.
Hi, My best guess is that it’s linked to Fairbuds XL. Maybe that hardware derives from Samsung in some way - if that is Samsung specific?
On Fairphone forum I have found this:
“I know the Fairbuds XL are very repairable physically but it made me curious about the software running on it too[…]” and then: “So more research: It uses the QCC3034 chipset, and said chipset can be modified with the right software.[…]”.
It is not a direct answer but my best guess based on those entries by the same user over there.
On the other hand, often QCC means quality control and compliance… You may want to ask Fairphone support.
One more opinion from the web: “QCC is a series of bluetooth audio chipsets produced by Qualcomm that are used in products like bluetooth speakers and headsets. This is probably a system app that enables advanced features when your phone is connected to a QCC-based device.”
