I installed eOS yesterday. Today I linked WhatsApp to my iPad and then it resulted in my account receiving a 24 hour ban. It then unlocked after a few hours but now it says I need to install the official app and so I can’t installed it from app lounge and then from the WhatsApp website. Any idea?

to restate: you re-registered with your phone number successfully on /e/OS on day 1, and on day 2 linked the iPad as companion - and then the ban hit you?
Resolution was using yet another seondary phone to be the main Whatsapp device again and link /e/OS as companion.

Yes, that’s right. I resorted to signing in with a different phone and then linked my eOS phone to that one as a ‘companion device’.
