Where can I report map errors in Murena Maps?

Hi,

Murena Maps uses maps from some other provider, not OSM. Munich Airport is not correctly rendered (wrong address labels, disregard for non-public roads, missing road blocks etc.). Does anyone have a link where I can report errors?

Thanks

I could communicate directly (via e-mail) with the developers (Magic Earth).

But, surprise: The first thing they told me than my version of Magic Earth is outdated, from 2024. But the App Lounge of /e/OS does not offer any update. They will investigate why that is so.

/e/ OS is currently offering legacy Maps for the Maps app [1]. Magic Earth moved to a paid option. Up-to-date Magic Earth / Magic Lane is either crippled or one pays a subscription.

Your title “Murena Maps” invites misunderstanding. Hence the reference above to Murena Maps.

Interesting. Their support did not tell me, quite the contrary, they told me they would investigate why The App Lounge does not feature updates to the outdated pre-install version!

“Your title “Murena Maps” invites misunderstanding.”

I beg your pardon. I purchased a brand new Fairphone 6 with preinstalled /e/OS Murena, and there is an app called “Maps” sitting right on the first page… And, by the way, the logo is identical !

Hi,

Please make a simple search before posting but actually, you don’t even need to search; it’s one of the first topics mentioned. The app is indeed called Maps, not Murena Maps… By the way, on a personal note, the Maps app you’re referring to is called Magic Earth on my FP6 running /e/OS.

Actually, the lag behind the current version is no indicator at all: App Lounge is behind almost all of my apps, when I compare their versions with the ones on my old Fairphone 2, where Aurora keeps track of updates….

AppLounge too but later. But what the link with your title’s subject ?

Cardinal maps (now Murena Maps) isn’t yet installed officially, people have no idea.

It doesn’t say Magic Earth in the launcher. I think one should look at it naively.

It’s the only proprietary app murena ships, they weren’t able to alter the help links, it’s all in all unfortunate.

To further confuse people: In the project page of Murena Maps they use exactly (!) the same logo / icon as Magic Earth…

I cannot change the subject…
