Because you didn’t use the blacklist settings of Aurora Store to limit its updates to Apps you really installed with it …
It isn’t. Aurora Store mistakes microG (included in /e/OS) as Google Play Services, which can’t be helped, as microG has to pose as Google Play Services to serve as a compatibility layer for Google-dependent Apps to have a chance of working on /e/OS.
Just blacklist everything in Aurora Store which you didn’t install with Aurora Store. I know that’s a lot to blacklist, but it prevents such user confusion .
Why the confusion? Because the microG services have the same internal name com.google.android.gms
as original Google Mobile Services (GMS).
My mistake. I didn’t mean this with confusion, that’s just technical necessity.
I meant user confusion. Edited accordingly.
No, no, I don’t see that you’ve made a mistake. It’s probably just our translations into English. Aurora is confusing microG Services with Google Mobile Services because both files have the same internal name. This technical necessity is a successful deceptive maneuver by microG.
ok, thanks a lot for the explanation and the suggestions.
So, I will avoid to update it
Thanks for the info, I understand now
Same is suggested for Magic Earth, I mean putting it on a blacklist
