Problem:
WI-FI Calling Does Not Detect WIFI When Cell Reception Lost
Teracube 2e (2021)
/e/OS 4.2 and new 4.3 emerald
Wi-FI Network available, strong signal, and otherwise connected to the Teraacube
Occurs on T-Mobile (US) or Verizon (US) networks
I have tried all suggested options to correct (APN resets, reboots, various WI-FI Calling options, Aiplane Mode trick, etc.) and installed (2026-09-29) /e/OS 4.3 emerald.
Problem: The Teracube will not use Wi-Fi Calling anymore
- Assume zero bars/no cell phone signal reception.
- Teracube 2e setup to use Wi-FI Calling.
- Teracube connected to WIFI (confirmed WIFI use for web, email, etc.) However, the Teracube will not use the Wi-FI connection for Wi-FI Calling. When trying to make a call, the Teraacube reports “Connect to a WIFI network or mobile network to make calls.” No trouble-shooting method helps (neighter does the newly released 4.3).
An old iPhone at the same location works seemlessly with WIFI Calling.
The Teracube previously allowed WI-FI Calling.
Research shows this may be an issue with upstream LineageOS 22.2 and 23+.
Suggestions??
Does anyone have any options? Or can anyone confirm an older /e/OS version that does work with WI-FI Calling and how to downgrade? This is a serious problem for us as there is no cell service at our house.
