Will my car sharing apps work on /e/OS?

I’m considering switching from Android to /e/OS but have one major concern: will my car sharing apps still work smoothly? This is a must-have for me, and I can’t find either app listed on Plexus.

I’ve reached out to the app developers, but their responses suggest they have little to no experience with /e/OS. Has anyone here successfully used these car sharing apps? If so, were there any compatibility issues or workarounds?

And/or can anyone explain me how I can know in advance whether a specific app does or does not work on e/os, when I cannot find any info on it on this forum?

Hi there @Kimono123 , good to see more interest in /e/!

To be specific, you need to know if they are compatible with MicroG, as /e/ is Degoogled Android.

I could only find information on Snappcar, and the app works technically but login fails, according to the last edit of functionality.

The rest do not appear to be tested or at the very least not recorded.

What you need to ask the developers specifically is “Does your app strictly rely on Google Play Services/Google Mobile Services(GMS) or will it work under MicroG?”

You might consider installing Aurora store on regular Android.

However neither

show up for me in UK, perhaps they are local to you and geo fenced (??).
