Youtube Vanced and trusted APKs

Hej !

First of all, I want to thank all the community for its work.
Then, I’m sorry I’ve looked before in related topics but haven’t found any answer for my question.
I puchased a degoogled phone on e.solutions and I’m quite happy with it. Before that I’ve another phone that I some king degoogle as I could by myself, I used F-Droid for app manager and I used Youtube Vanced (with Vanced Manager) in order to play Youtube movies that I downloaded from a website (not via the app manager)
But now with this new phone, I can’t find Youtube Vanced anywhere on the apps manager and I don’t want to download an hasardous APK from anywhere which can come with some trojans or something like that.
So 2 questions : Near the defaut /e/ app manager, is it a good idea to use something like F-Droid or should I only use the defaut manager ?
Then, back to Youtube Vanced, where can I find a trusted version maybe of the APK because I can’t find it on any manager please ? I found this link, does anyone know if it’s trusted please ?

Sorry if my reply is not relevant to you but have you considered using something like VLC to play your local video files?

For watching YT videos I find Newpipe a very nice application.

For my local movies yes I use VLC, but here I speak about streaming youtube movies.
I don’t know Newpipe, I’ll try it , thanks :wink:

I looked at the /e/ default apps manager and it seems to have NewPipe and NewPipe Legacy.
Which one should I take please If you know ?

I just tried the Legacy one, It works like a charm.

I like Newpipe very much too! You may watch the videos without sales promotion and also download them as video or audio file.
